Description
An authentic vintage watch, in excellent condition. The Piaget Tiger Eye model, ref. 9454, is a unique example of the golden age of watchmaking in the 1970s, when the Piaget Manufacture combined top-class mechanics with a jeweler’s approach to design. Today, the brand’s watches with stone dials are among the most sought-after by collectors, and each piece features a unique pattern of natural mineral. The model’s most distinctive feature is its dial made of Tiger’s Eye stone, characterized by a mesmerizing play of golden-brown reflections. The natural structure of the stone makes each piece absolutely unique. The entire watch is encased in an 18-karat yellow gold case (28 grams of pure gold).
Reference number 9454. Water resistance specified by the manufacturer: 30 meters. The watch dates from around 1970.
The Piaget brand became a registered trademark in 1943, although the history of the Piaget brand began almost a century earlier. In the beginning, high-end mechanisms were produced and eventually a well-known brand of luxury watches and jewelry was created. The company’s trademark are elegant ultra-thin watches.
