A unique model from the 1990s that perfectly captures the technical spirit of that era—the Breitling Pluton Academy is a watch designed for professionals, particularly pilots and uniformed services. The limited-edition “Academy 2000” is now an interesting collector’s item, combining classic design with analog-digital functionality that was advanced for its time.

    The distinctive dial combines traditional hands with digital displays, offering a wide range of functions while maintaining excellent readability. Contrasting markings, clear indices, and backlighting ensure the watch remains functional in all conditions—both day and night.

    Reference number A51038. It features a date display and a chronograph. The manufacturer specifies a water resistance of 100 meters. The set includes the original box (travel case) and a full set of documents. First sale in 1997.

    Case

    The case diameter is 41 mm (44 mm including the crown), the height is 9.5 mm, and the lug-to-lug length is 47 mm. The case is made of stainless steel with a polished and satin finish. The dial is blue with painted Arabic numerals. The whole is protected by sapphire crystal.

    Mechanism

    The watch is equipped with the Breitling Caliber 51 quartz movement, which offers high precision and a wide range of functions. This movement is responsible for displaying analog time and supporting digital functions such as a chronograph, alarm, second time zone (GMT), date display, and backlight. The quartz design ensures reliability and minimal maintenance requirements.
