    This watch is an authentic, pre-owned Zenith timepiece from the legendary Pilot collection, in excellent condition. The Type 20 Extra Special model draws directly on the historic aviation watches created by Zenith as early as the beginning of the 20th century—inspired by aircraft instruments and watches for aviation pioneers.

    This model stands out for its exceptional readability and its raw, vintage character. The large Arabic numerals and chunky cathedral-style hands are coated with luminescent material, ensuring excellent visibility in all conditions.

    The watch features a central seconds hand. The case diameter is 40 mm—a more compact and versatile take on the classic pilot’s watch.

    Case

    The case diameter is 40 mm (44 mm including the crown; 48 mm lug-to-lug), with a height of 12 mm. The case is made of stainless steel and features an all-over satin finish. The large, distinctive “onion” crown allows for comfortable operation even while wearing gloves—a direct nod to historic pilot’s watches. The black, matte dial ensures maximum readability and contrast, while the oversized Arabic numerals and cathedral-style hands give the watch a unique retro style. The entire dial is protected by sapphire crystal.

    Mechanism

    The watch is equipped with the Zenith Elite 679 automatic movement—an in-house caliber known for its high precision and slim profile. The watch is equipped with an automatic movement operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, featuring 27 jewels and a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. It is a proven and elegant caliber that perfectly complements the classic character of the Pilot model.

    Strap

    This model is paired with a vintage-style calfskin strap, often featuring distinctive rivets at the lugs—a nod to vintage pilot’s watches. The steel clasp ensures comfort and safety, and the whole design emphasizes the watch’s authentic, historic character.
