    Description

    The Tudor Black Bay Heritage 79230N is a model that has redefined the Tudor brand image and has become one of the most important icons of modern diving watches. It was inspired by the legendary Tudor Submariner models from the 1950s and 1960s, as evidenced by its distinctive “Big Crown,” Snowflake hands, and subtle gold-plated details on the dial. The 2016 version was a breakthrough for the Black Bay collection, as it was the first to feature the in-house MT5602 movement, certified by the COSC as a chronometer, with a 70-hour power reserve.

    The watch being offered was manufactured in 2016. It is a pre-owned watch, sold as a set with its original box. The manufacturer specifies its water resistance as up to 200 meters.

    Case

    The case, with a diameter of 41 mm, a thickness of approximately 14.8 mm, a lug-to-lug length of approximately 50 mm, and a lug width of 22 mm, is crafted from 316L stainless steel with satin-finished and polished surfaces. Black dial with applied hour markers. The unidirectional rotating bezel, featuring a black aluminum insert and a red triangle at 12 o’clock, pays homage to Tudor’s historic dive watches. Distinctive large screw-down crown with the rose logo, domed sapphire crystal, and screw-down steel case back

    Mechanism

    At the heart of the watch is the Tudor Caliber MT5602 in-house automatic movement, certified by the COSC as a chronometer. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), is equipped with a silicon balance spring and a variable-inertia balance wheel secured by a solid bridge, and offers an impressive 70-hour power reserve. The design was engineered for high shock resistance and long-term precision, making it one of the most highly regarded calibers in its class.

     

    Strap

    The model features a black leather strap that perfectly highlights the vintage character of the Black Bay collection. The strap fastens with a steel buckle.
