    Description

    The Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Automatic, reference number 106488, is one of Montblanc’s most iconic watch models. The design is inspired by the chronograph created by Nicolas Rieussec in the 19th century, utilizing two rotating discs to indicate elapsed time.

    The black, richly finished dial features a centrally positioned hour and minute hand with distinctive Arabic numerals, two rotating chronograph discs, a second time zone indicator, a day/night indicator, and a date window. The chronograph is operated by a single push-button located on the left side of the case. The watch is water-resistant to 30 meters.

    It was first sold around 2011. The watch is pre-owned and is offered exclusively with its original box.

    Case

    The round case, 43 mm in diameter and approximately 14.8 mm thick, is crafted from polished stainless steel. The black dial is protected by sapphire crystal. On the left side of the case is a single push-button that controls the chronograph function, while the crown is classically positioned at the 3 o’clock position. The see-through caseback allows you to view the in-house movement and its decorative finishes.

    Mechanism

    The watch is powered by the Montblanc MB R200 in-house automatic movement. The caliber features 40 jewels, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and provides approximately 72 hours of power reserve thanks to the use of two mainspring barrels. The movement is equipped with a monopusher chronograph controlled by a column wheel and a vertical clutch. It also features a second time zone display, day/night indicator, and date window. Chronograph timing is achieved via rotating seconds and 30-minute discs.

    Strap

    The watch is presented on a black leather strap with an alligator-skin texture, which complements the model’s elegant character. The clasp is made of steel. The set includes an original, used alligator-skin strap.
