  • Eros No. 1—Eros XL Watch, Yellow Gold with White Dial, Manual Winding, 10/2014, 42 mm

    290 000

    ID: 174093

    Description

The Andersen Genève Eros No. 1 is a collector’s automatic watch crafted in Svend Andersen’s independent Geneva workshop. The certificate confirms that the piece was crafted in the summer of 2014 and features the “Old Greek” automatic movement. The document was issued in Geneva on October 17, 2014.

The watch features a heavy, approximately 58-gram gold case and a special design with two independent winding mechanisms: one for the watch movement and the other for the automaton. It is a rare example of traditional métiers d’art and a mechanical complication of collector’s quality. The set includes the original box and a complete set of documents.

    Case

The round case, with a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of approximately 14.5 mm, is crafted from 18-karat yellow gold. Its classic form is accentuated by a slender, polished bezel, harmoniously contoured lugs, and a discreet crown. Beneath the sapphire crystal lies a white dial featuring elegant Breguet-style Arabic numerals. The most remarkable element of the design is hidden on the back of the case—a hand-crafted and hand-painted scene featuring a mechanical erotic automaton. The animation mechanism is activated by a discreet push button located on the side of the case at the 8 o’clock position. Thanks to this, the watch retains the appearance of a classic, elegant timepiece from the dial side, while its unique complication remains invisible when worn. This piece bears the individual serial number No. 1.., highlighting the model’s collectible nature and limited production run.

    Mechanism

The movement is wound by hand. Turning the crown in one direction powers the automatic mechanism, which can run for about 2 minutes when fully wound, while turning it in the opposite direction winds the watch’s movement, providing a power reserve of approximately 36 hours. The automatic movement is activated by a push button at the 8 o’clock position.

    Strap

An original blue leather strap with a yellow gold clasp.
