    Description

    The Breitling for Bentley Mulliner Perpetual Calendar, reference J29362, is an extremely rare automatic chronograph with a perpetual calendar, produced in a limited edition of just 50 pieces. The model combines an impressive 18-karat white gold case with a complex display system featuring the date, day of the week, week number, month, season, and moon phase. The complications are complemented by a chronograph and the variable tachymeter characteristic of the Bentley collection. The watch is water-resistant to 50 meters. The first sale of this particular piece took place in 2000. The watch is pre-owned and comes complete with its original box and documentation.

    Case

    The substantial case, measuring 48.7 mm in diameter, approximately 55 mm in height, and approximately 15 mm in thickness, is crafted from 18-karat white gold. The strap attachment width is 24 mm. The bidirectional rotating bezel features distinctive grooves inspired by Bentley’s design and is paired with an external variable tachymeter scale. The black dial features four elaborate sub-dials displaying the chronograph, perpetual calendar, and moon phase indications. Contrasting silver-toned scales, red accents, and applied hour markers ensure readability despite the large number of displays. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. The screw-down crown and case back enhance the watch’s durability, and the case back bears a unique limited-edition number.

    Mechanism

    The watch is equipped with a Breitling Caliber 29B automatic movement, certified as a chronometer by the COSC. The caliber has 38 jewels, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and provides approximately 42 hours of power reserve. The movement features a chronograph accurate to 1/4 of a second, along with 30-minute and 12-hour counters. The perpetual calendar automatically accounts for varying month lengths and leap years, displaying the date, day of the week, week number, month, season, and moon phases.

    Strap

    The watch features a black strap made of crocodile leather, accented with contrasting light-colored stitching. The strap fastens with an original Breitling folding clasp. The wide design of the strap is tailored to the large case and emphasizes the model’s exclusive, automotive character.
