    Description

    An original, pre-owned Laco B-Uhr Pilot Flieger watch inspired by the legendary observation watches (Beobachtungsuhren) supplied to the German Air Force during World War II. Laco was one of five official manufacturers of B-Uhr military watches for the Luftwaffe, making this model a unique testament to the history of aviation watchmaking. This particular piece retains the massive 55-mm case characteristic of the originals, a highly legible Baumuster B dial, and a timeless military aesthetic. It is an extremely rare collector’s item for enthusiasts of aviation and historic military watches.

    Case

    The case is made of stainless steel and has an impressive diameter of 55 mm, in line with the historical specifications for military observation watches. The case is approximately 16 mm thick, the lug-to-lug distance is approximately 68 mm, and the lug width is 26 mm. The large onion-shaped crown allows for comfortable operation even while wearing flight gloves. The black Baumuster B-style dial features contrasting minute markers and a central orientation triangle at the 12 o’clock position. The entire dial is protected by durable mineral or hesalite glass, depending on the production version. The case back is solid, screw-down, and adorned with the historical military markings FL23883.

    Mechanism

    The watch is equipped with a hand-wound Durowe D5 movement (or the historic caliber used by Laco in its B-Uhr models from that period), operating at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour and offering approximately 36 hours of power reserve. The movement’s design was developed with the high precision and reliability required of military observation watches in mind.

    Strap

    The watch is mounted on a wide pilot-style leather strap featuring distinctive rivets at the lugs. This design pays homage to historic models worn by Luftwaffe pilots and ensures a high level of comfort despite the case’s large size.

      The watch is presented on a wrist with a circumference of 18 cm.
