    Description

    Since 1963, the TAG Heuer Carrera collection has been an icon among motorsport-inspired watches. The Carrera Calibre 16 Automatic Chronograph Day-Date, reference number CV2A1V.The BA0738 stands out for its sporty character, excellent readability, and distinctive blue dial with large Arabic numerals, which give it a unique look. The combination of a chronograph, day-of-the-week and date displays, and a ceramic bezel makes this one of the most practical models in the Carrera family.

    The first sale took place on May 27, 2019. This is a pre-owned watch, sold complete with its original box and manufacturer’s documentation. It is water-resistant to 100 meters (10 ATM).

    Case

    The 43-mm-diameter case is crafted from high-quality stainless steel, combining satin-finished and polished surfaces. It is approximately 16 mm thick, measures about 50 mm from lug to lug, and has a lug-to-lug width of 22 mm. The model features a scratch-resistant blue ceramic bezel with a tachymeter, which emphasizes the watch’s sporty character and allows for the measurement of average speed. The most distinctive feature of the model is its vivid blue dial with a striking sunburst finish and large, applied Arabic numerals coated with Super-LumiNova. At the 3 o’clock position is a practical Day-Date display, while the central seconds hand measures chronograph time. The dial is protected by scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal with a double-sided anti-reflective coating, while the transparent case back allows you to admire the movement in action.

    Mechanism

    The watch is equipped with an automatic TAG Heuer Calibre 16 movement, based on the legendary ETA/Valjoux 7750 design. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), features 25 jewels, and offers approximately 42 hours of power reserve. In addition to displaying hours, minutes, and seconds, it features a chronograph, a date display, and a day-of-the-week indicator, and is renowned for its high reliability and ease of servicing.

     

    Strap

    The model features an original three-row stainless steel bracelet with a satin finish and polished details. The bracelet features an original TAG Heuer folding clasp with a double safety lock, ensuring high comfort and security during everyday use.

      The watch is presented on a wrist with a circumference of 18 cm.
