    An authentic from from the legendary Day-Date President collection, considered one of the most prestigious models in the history of the Rolex brand. The Day-Date model belongs to the first generation of Day-Date watches and is an extremely important part of Rolex’s watchmaking history. It was one of the first wristwatches in the world to offer a full display of the day of the week and the date. This example, featuring a “Swiss only dial,” is particularly prized by vintage Rolex collectors due to its rarity and historical significance. The 18-karat yellow gold case, classic pie-pan dial design, and iconic President bracelet make this model a symbol of timeless luxury.

    Case

    The case diameter is 36 mm (approximately 39 mm including the crown), the height is approximately 13 mm, and the lug-to-lug length is approximately 44 mm. The case is made of 18-karat yellow gold, featuring a distinctive fluted bezel, a pie-pan gold dial, applied gold hour markers, and classic alpha hands. The “Swiss only dial” version, devoid of tritium markings, is one of the rarer collector’s configurations. A date window is located at the 3 o’clock position, while a full day-of-the-week indicator is at the 12 o’clock position. The whole is protected by a domed Hesalite crystal with a distinctive Cyclops lens. The Twinlock crown is screw-down. The watch features a solid case back made of 18-karat yellow gold.

    Mechanism

    The watch is equipped with the Rolex Calibre 1055 automatic movement, featuring 25 jewels. The movement operates at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The design of this caliber was a breakthrough for Rolex and laid the foundation for future generations of the Day-Date. The movement is COSC-certified, guaranteeing high precision and reliability.
