    The Rolex GMT-Master II 126711CHNR, known among watch enthusiasts as the “Root Beer,” is one of the most distinctive variations of Rolex’s iconic travel watch. The combination of Oystersteel and 18-karat Everose gold, a black dial, and a brown-and-black ceramic bezel gives the watch an elegant and distinctive character. The model features a GMT second time zone display, an in-house automatic movement, and water resistance up to 100 meters.

    Case

    The 40-mm Oyster case is crafted using Everose Rolesor technology, which combines durable Oystersteel with 18-karat Everose gold. The design features a monobloc case, a screw-down caseback, and a Triplock screw-down crown with a triple-seal system. The bidirectional bezel is fitted with a brown-and-black Cerachrom ceramic insert and a 24-hour scale for reading a second time zone. The dial is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date window. The black dial features applied hour markers and hands with the Chromalight luminescent system, as well as a distinctive GMT hand tipped with a triangle.

    Mechanism

    The watch is powered by the in-house Rolex Caliber 3285 automatic movement, featuring bidirectional winding via the Perpetual rotor. The movement offers approximately 70 hours of power reserve and a precision of −2/+2 seconds per day when housed in the case. It features hour, minute, and central second hands; an independently adjustable local hour hand; a second time zone display; a 24-hour scale; an instant-change date display; and a stop-second function. The caliber features a paramagnetic Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers, and the watch is certified as a Superlative Chronometer.

    Strap

    The model features an original three-row Oyster bracelet crafted using Everose Rolesor technology, which combines outer links made of Oystersteel with center links made of 18-karat Everose gold. The bracelet features a secure Oysterlock folding clasp and the Easylink system, which allows for a quick adjustment to increase its length by approximately 5 mm.
