Case

The case is crafted from high-grade 904L Oystersteel, prized for its exceptional corrosion resistance and ability to achieve a flawless surface finish. The case diameter is 40 mm (approximately 43 mm including the crown), the thickness is approximately 13 mm, the lug-to-lug distance is approximately 48 mm, and the lug width is 20 mm.

The polished bezel emphasizes the model’s elegant character, setting it apart from most of Rolex’s sport models. The white dial features applied hour markers with orange accents and a distinctive orange minute track. The most recognizable element of the model remains the lightning-shaped seconds hand, a nod to the scientific purpose of the Milgauss collection. The dial is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The Twinlock screw-down crown ensures a high level of water resistance, and the solid steel case back conceals an additional anti-magnetic shield that protects the movement from the effects of magnetic fields.

Mechanism

The watch is equipped with the Rolex Calibre 3131 automatic movement. The movement features 31 jewels, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The caliber is equipped with a Parachrom Blue anti-magnetic hairspring and the Paraflex shock absorption system, which enhance resistance to shocks and magnetic fields. An additional ferromagnetic shield ensures precision even in the presence of magnetic fields up to 1,000 gauss, which is where the model’s name “Milgauss” comes from.

Strap

The model features an original Rolex Oyster bracelet crafted from 904L Oystersteel. The three-row design ensures high wearing comfort and excellent durability during everyday use. The bracelet is complemented by a folding Oysterclasp with the Easylink system, which allows for quick length adjustment of approximately 5 mm.
