Case

The round case is made of stainless steel and measures 45 mm in diameter and approximately 11.7 mm in thickness, allowing it to maintain elegant, classic proportions despite its large size. Its gently rounded lugs and polished surfaces emphasize the formal character of the Portofino collection. The silver dial retains the clarity and visual lightness characteristic of the Portofino collection. The slender applied hour markers and delicate hands give it a classic, elegant look. A date window is positioned at the 3 o’clock mark, a small seconds sub-dial is located at the 6 o’clock mark, and the power reserve indicator is situated at the 9 o’clock mark.

The watch face is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, while the see-through case back allows you to observe the movement of the in-house mechanism.

Mechanism

The watch is equipped with the IWC Caliber 59210 in-house movement, which is hand-wound. The caliber operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), features 30 jewels, and consists of approximately 215 components. When fully wound, it provides an impressive power reserve of 192 hours, or eight days. The movement displays the hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and power reserve level. It also features a stop-seconds function, which allows for precise time setting. The movement’s components are decorated with, among other things, Côtes de Genève and guilloché patterns, and its operation can be observed through the sapphire crystal case back.

Strap

The model comes standard with a brown alligator leather strap crafted by the Italian manufacturer Santoni. The distinctive hand-patinated leather gives each strap a unique shade and complements the silver dial and polished steel case perfectly. The strap is fitted with an original IWC buckle made of stainless steel.
