    Description

    The IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Chronograph, reference number IW371606, is an elegant chronograph that combines the classic proportions of the Portugieser collection with a modern in-house automatic movement. The model stands out with its deep blue dial, slender rhodium-plated hands, applied Arabic numerals, and the distinctive layout of its two chronograph sub-dials.
    The steel case has a diameter of 41 mm, and the watch is water-resistant to 30 meters. The watch offered here, with serial number 62….., was first sold on November 29, 2020. It is a pre-owned watch, offered in a set that includes the original IWC Schaffhausen box and the manufacturer’s documentation.

    Case

    The round case, with a diameter of 41 mm and a thickness of approximately 13 mm, is crafted from stainless steel and features a combination of polished and satin-finished surfaces. The slim bezel visually enlarges the dial and emphasizes the model’s elegant character. The design is complemented by a classic crown and rectangular chronograph pushers.
    The blue dial features rhodium-plated hands and applied Arabic numerals. The 30-minute chronograph counter is positioned at 12 o’clock, while the small seconds sub-dial is located at 6 o’clock. The outer “chemin de fer” minute track enhances the readability of the display. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with a double-sided anti-reflective coating, and the see-through case back allows you to observe the movement in action.

    Mechanism

    The watch is equipped with the IWC Caliber 69355 in-house automatic movement. The caliber has 27 jewels, consists of 205 components, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and offers a power reserve of approximately 46 hours. The movement displays the hours, minutes, and small seconds, and features a chronograph function with a central seconds hand and a 30-minute counter.

    Strap

    The watch features an original black alligator leather strap that is 20 mm wide at the case. The classic leather texture complements the blue dial and steel case, highlighting the watch’s elegant character. The strap is fitted with an original IWC Schaffhausen steel folding clasp.
