    Description

    The Cartier Tank Louis Cartier is one of the most classic interpretations of the iconic Tank collection. This particular model features a rectangular case crafted from 18-karat yellow gold, an elegant light-colored dial with black Roman numerals, and distinctive blue sword-shaped hands. The crown is topped with a blue cabochon, one of the most recognizable elements of Cartier’s design.

Based on the design, case markings, and the period during which similar versions of the Tank Louis Cartier with a quartz movement were produced , the year of manufacture has been determined to be around 1990.     Case

    The classic rectangular case, measuring approximately 21 × 28 mm, is crafted from 18-karat yellow gold, as confirmed by the “18K” markings and the hallmark on the case back. The distinctive rounded lugs create the proportions typical of the Tank Louis Cartier model. The light-colored dial features large black Roman numerals, an inner “chemin de fer” minute track, and blue steel hands. The crown is adorned with a distinctive blue cabochon. Comparable models from this generation were equipped with mineral glass.

    Mechanism

    The watch is equipped with a Cartier quartz movement that displays the hours and minutes. Similar Tank Louis Cartier models from this generation used the Cartier Calibre 66 quartz movement. However, due to the lack of a photo of the movement, I do not consider this caliber designation to be confirmed information for the model being offered.

    Strap

    The watch features a black leather strap bearing the Cartier Paris logo, as shown in the photos. The design is complemented by an original Cartier folding clasp, which pairs well with the yellow gold case.
