    Description

    The Panerai Luminor 1950 8 Days GMT,reference number PAM00233, is one of the brand’s most distinctive and technically advanced models. The watch combines the recognizable Luminor 1950 case with a second time zone function, a date display, a 24-hour indicator, and a linear power reserve indicator. The in-house manual-winding movement provides up to eight days of power reserve when fully wound.

    Case

    The 44-mm Luminor 1950 case is crafted from brushed stainless steel and paired with a polished steel bezel. The distinctive bridge with a crown lock lever presses the crown against the case, providing enhanced protection against accidental adjustment and moisture. The black sandwich-style dial features large Arabic numerals and hour markers filled with luminescent material. The date window is positioned at 3 o’clock, the small seconds sub-dial along with the 24-hour indicator at 9 o’clock, and the linear eight-day power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock. The central GMT hand allows for simultaneous reading of a second time zone. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal, while the see-through case back allows you to observe the movement in action.

    Mechanism

    The watch is equipped with Panerai’s in-house manual-winding caliber P.2002. The caliber features 21 jewels, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and provides approximately 8 days of power reserve. Energy is stored in three mainspring barrels connected in series, ensuring a smooth transfer of torque. The movement consists of 247 components and features hour, minute, small seconds, date, second time zone, 24-hour indicator, and linear power reserve display. The seconds-reset system stops the balance wheel and sets the seconds hand to zero, facilitating precise time synchronization.

    Strap

    The model features an original black rubber strap that accentuates the technical character of the black dial and the solid steel case. The strap is finished with an original Panerai steel buckle, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit on the wrist.
