The rounded stainless steel case has a catalog diameter of 42.1 mm—commonly referred to as 42 mm—and a height of approximately 13 mm. The nominal bracelet attachment width is 20 mm. The lug-to-lug length requires measuring the actual watch; it has not been replaced by the case diameter. The polished bezel flows seamlessly into the case and the crown guard. The silver-plated dial with a guilloché pattern features Roman numerals, a minute track, and blue-tinted sword-shaped steel hands. The date window is located at the 3 o’clock position. The distinctive curve of the dial near the crown is a signature design element of the Ballon Bleu. The crystal is sapphire. The fluted crown is adorned with a blue synthetic spinel cabochon; the solid case back is secured with screws.
The 3765 case model is powered by the Cartier 1847 MC automatic movement. The movement has 23 jewels, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and provides approximately 42 hours of power reserve. It displays hours, minutes, a central seconds hand, and a date display.
The W69012Z4 comes standard with a steel, multi-row bracelet featuring a folding butterfly clasp. Its polished components complement the rounded case.
