Case

The round, two-piece case is crafted from 18-karat 750 yellow gold. The reference 3416 has a diameter of 33 mm without the crown, and the examples of this reference described here are approximately 6 mm thick. The slender case and narrow, smooth bezel leave a large surface area for the dial relative to the watch’s overall dimensions. The polished edge accentuates the warm hue of the gold, and the gently rounded profile softens the transition between the front and the sides of the case. In the configuration shown, the bracelet sits close to the case, minimizing the visibility of the lugs and creating a seamless line with the case.

The dial is protected by a slightly domed crystal; acrylic glass was used for this model. A small, knurled crown at the 3 o’clock position is used for manual winding and setting the hands. The case is secured from the back by a solid, screw-down caseback. On its inner surface, you can see the Patek Philippe & Co. Genève signature, the 18K and 0.750 hallmarks, and the case number 26…. and the reference number 3416.

Mechanism

Inside is a hand-wound Patek Philippe 23-300 in-house caliber, mounted on 18 jewels. The caliber designation, number of jewels, and movement number 786402 are clearly visible in the photos provided. The movement is equipped with a Gyromax balance, and the inscriptions on the bridges indicate five-position regulation, taking into account temperature changes and isochronism. The power reserve for this caliber is specified as approximately 44 hours when fully wound; this is not a measurement result for the specific piece offered.

The design features a traditional bridge layout, with clearly distinct elements supporting the gear train and balance wheel. Visible Geneva stripes, beveled edges, and inscriptions highlight the meticulous finish. The caliber is one of those bearing the Geneva Seal. In this configuration, it displays hours and minutes, without a seconds hand or calendar. The mainspring is wound manually using the crown.

Strap

The watch features a braided yellow gold bracelet. The small, evenly spaced links create a flexible structure reminiscent of a metal fabric. The dense weave diffuses light differently than the smooth, polished case, introducing a subtle contrast in textures. The bracelet sits close to the watch case and wraps around the wrist, giving the entire design a jewelry-like character. The clasp features a low-profile, decorated flap whose finish echoes the surface of the bracelet.
