Case

The round case is made of platinum. Its nominal diameter is 42 mm (excluding the crown), its thickness is 13.55 mm, and the strap attachment width is 22 mm. The lug-to-lug length requires direct measurement of the specific watch being offered. The other dimensions listed correspond to the reference specifications; they are not individual measurements of this watch.

The wide, solid bezel features a stepped profile: two gently rounded levels create a distinct, polished frame around the dial. Their concentric arrangement lends depth to the face, while the smooth platinum surface highlights the transitions between the individual edges. The case flows seamlessly into the distinctly defined lugs, which slope downward toward the wrist. The polished surfaces and gently curved sides balance the technical character of the elaborate calendar.

Sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the see-through case back allows a view of the automatic movement. The crown at the 3 o’clock position features a knurled rim for a secure grip. The calendar adjustment buttons are located beneath the lugs, so they do not interrupt the smooth line of the case sides. This design allows the buttons to be operated with a finger, without the need for a separate stylus.

The Havana-colored dial is framed by silver accents and light-colored markings. Three sub-dials and a moon phase window are arranged symmetrically around the central axis of the hands; an outer 24-hour ring separates the calendar display from the hour markers.

Mechanism

Inside, it is powered by the Blancpain 55A5A self-winding movement. The movement consists of 312 components, is supported by 28 jewels, and provides a nominal power reserve of approximately 100 hours when fully wound. This means more than four days of operation without needing to be wound. This value is a design specification, not the result of a power reserve measurement on the specific watch in question.

The movement combines a calendar with a GMT function and a moon phase display. The calendar accounts for the varying lengths of the months and the four-year leap year cycle, displaying the day of the week, date, and month. A separate GMT hand indicates a second time zone on a 24-hour scale.

A distinctive feature of this edition is the rhodium-plated gold balance wheel with a hand-engraved motif reminiscent of the veins of tobacco leaves. The decoration matches the Havana style and serves as an ornamental accent visible through the sapphire case back. The movement specifications correspond to those of the reference model.

Strap

In the photos, the watch features a dark leather strap with a distinct large-scale scale pattern. The slightly lustrous surface, dark stitching along the edges, and gradual tapering give it a classic, elegant look. The strap complements the brown dial while highlighting the light shade of the platinum case. The width of the strap attachment at the case is 22 mm.

The set includes a total of two straps and two clasps: a buckle and a folding clasp with a single latch. The classic buckle shown in the photo has a polished finish featuring the Blancpain signature. The additional strap and second clasp allow you to change the watch’s configuration.
