    Description

    This pre-owned genuine Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M watch, reference 232.30.42.21.01.001, is a stainless steel diver’s watch featuring the in-house Co-Axial 8500 movement. The 42-mm case, black dial, and black ceramic bezel create a classic configuration with a distinctly sporty character. Large hands and prominent hour markers make the time easy to read, and the date window at 3 o’clock provides a practical addition to the display. The rated water resistance is 600 m; the design also includes a helium escape valve and a screw-down crown.

    The see-through caseback allows you to view the movement’s finish, making the model’s technical character visible from the back as well. The watch is in very good condition. The set includes the watch, box, and documentation, including the warranty card and Pictograms indicating the 8500 caliber. First sold in 2014

    Case

    The stainless steel case has a diameter of 42 mm, a thickness of 15.8 mm, and a lug width of 20 mm. The solid case transitions into contoured lugs featuring a combination of brushed and polished surfaces. The unidirectional bezel, with a black ceramic insert and diving scale, has a serrated edge for easy operation. The black dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides. A screw-down crown is positioned at the 3 o’clock position, and a helium escape valve is located on the opposite side, near the 10 o’clock position. The screw-down case back with a sapphire crystal reveals the movement without compromising the technical character of the case.

    Mechanism

    The Omega 8500 automatic caliber is a Co-Axial movement with two mainspring barrels connected in series and a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. It operates at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour, or 3.5 Hz, and features 39 jewels. The design provides hour, minute, central seconds, and date displays. The independent hour hand adjustment facilitates changing time zones without stopping the minutes and seconds. The movement belongs to the Co-Axial chronometer generation; its rotor and bridges are adorned with distinctive Geneva stripes in an arabesque pattern.

    Strap

    The steel bracelet is 20 mm wide at the case and features solid, matching end links. Its sporty character complements the Planet Ocean’s thicker case. The folding clasp is equipped with a diving extension designed to increase the bracelet’s circumference. The combination of steel with a black dial and a ceramic bezel gives the watch a cohesive, tool-watch look.
